We specialise in unique ANPR configurations that meet your exacting requirements for number plate capture and accurate recognition. Our clients include enforcement agencies, traffic authorities and toll operators requiring the highest performance levels possible.
Aspect utilises established PIPS Technology automatic number plate recognition systems and incorporates unique modifications that ensure the highest capture rate and correct number plate reading, whatever the state or territory. Our unique innovations ensure that whatever the number plate type, colour, syntax or size, the highest possible capture and recognition rate is achieved.
Aspect has also developed its own illuminator for all ANPR systems. This ensures that you capture not only reflective plates but also non-reflective and damaged plates, that others claim are “non-compliant”.
The aim of every automatic number plate recognition system must be the highest possible capture and correct recognition of all number plates, regardless of the age, condition, degree of reflectivity and location of the vehicle. When you specify an ANPR system make sure it captures all plates – not just the easy ones!
ANPR cameras
All PIPS ANPR camera systems are re-engineered by Aspect to ensure the highest level of automatic number plate recognition and include the following features:
- Able to capture and correctly read both reflective and non-reflective number plates from one ANPR system
- Reliable performance at vehicle speeds up to 300 kph
- Headlight, glint, glare and shadow suppression
- ANPR capture range up to 25 metres
- Capture range increased to 75m with the 'Aspect Plus' illuminator system
- Remote control of all camera and illuminator settings
- Eye-safe invisible infra-red illumination
- Low power consumption
The new PIPS P382 – simply the best there is
PIPS Technology has recently released the new dual-camera P382 with high-definition camera system. In both independent and in-house testing this new integrated ANPR system outperforms every other ANPR system including existing PIPS Technology systems.
This improvement is a significant leap ahead, with improvements in lane coverage (now up to two lanes with a single camera), capture rate and plate reading. The high-definition camera system, coupled with PIPS’ patented triple-flash system sees a quantum leap in performance, with a double-digit improvement in OCR results.
Coupled with Aspect’s illuminator, the performance for non-reflective and damaged plates is further improved, providing an overall leap in performance that maintains PIPS’ position as the undisputed leader in ANPR.
Applications such as point-to-point speed enforcement, tolling and vehicle monitoring will benefit from the improved performance with higher prosecutability and capture. Why continue to miss vehicles when the PIPS P382 offers a single unit that does it all.
Aspect Plus – increase the power!
The Aspect Plus illuminator system makes the capture of non-reflective and difficult-to-read plates possible. Aspect Plus also allows our ANPR systems to operate at substantial distances from the target vehicle - something previously not possible in Australia with any other ANPR system.
This unique illumination system ensures the highest possible capture and recognition of all Australian number plates, regardless of state, condition or age.
Aspect AutoKit
Primarily designed for mobile or portable applications, Aspect AutoKit includes a PIPS Technology ANPR image capture system specially modified by Aspect for use with Australia's difficult-to-read number plates. Aspect AutoKit also includes ANPR software and a complete operations package for mobile or roadside use.
Aspect AutoKit provides the highest level of number plate capture and recognition in Australia. Aspect AutoKit is programmed for all Australian state number plate configurations and styles, including options for capture of both reflective and non-reflective number plates.
Aspect AutoKit comprises all the elements necessary to establish a mobile or portable ANPR facility.
Aspect AutoKit is now used by police services throughout Australia, including:
- Australian Federal Police
- NSW Police Force
- Western Australia Police
- South Australia Police
- Tasmania Police
